PERSONAL DONOR DEVELOPMENT COACH - INTERNATIONAL

The purpose of this position is to train, coach and hold field staff accountable in personal fundraising.

Essential Duties

Spiritual Leadership ​

  • Through coaching staff, reflect Young Life’s commitment that each and every staff person and volunteer should minister as a servant of God whose primary responsibility is proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Personal Fundraising

  • Maintain financial health of the mission unit through personal fundraising and coaching tuitions.
  • Continually practice and model excellent personal fundraising by reaching 100 percent of personal support goal.

Coaching

  • Coach the fundraising of International staff candidates (and other expatriate staff as needed).
  • Pray for all staff associates he or she coaches.
  • Encourage staff with Biblical principles.
  • Conduct bimonthly one-hour coaching phone calls or as needed.
  • Review personal fundraising tools including PPL, call logs and more.
  • Strategize fundraising with staff.
  • Help prioritize staff time and energy as it pertains to fundraising.
  • Communicate with staff via email as needed.
  • Review and revise case statement, newsletters and other written fundraising material for staff as needed.
  • Train staff candidates on Relationship Centered Engagement tools including the following, Personal Fundraising Tool, online Priority Prospect List (PPL), online cash flow, financial master plan (in regards to Personal Donor Development), and provide monthly fundraising progress updates to the respective area director or regional director.

Communications and Promotions

  • ​ Actively participate in the overall branding, marketing and recruiting strategies for the Expatriate Services team. This may include EMMA communications, travel to Young Life events, speaking engagements and creating marketing materials.
  • Participate in Cross Cultural Orientation and other events related to Expatriate Services and International Operations

Qualifications:

Education:

  • College degree preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment in Colorado Springs, Colorado preferred but open to remote
  • Occasional travel (including Internationally)

Qualifications Required for the Job:

  • Maintain a healthy relationship with Christ and a fervent desire to know Him.
  • Extensive knowledge of Personal Donor Development and RCE Principles.
  • Currently successfully raising personal support or has experience in successfully raising personal support. This position is 100 percent funded through the coach’s personal fundraising and coaching tuitions.
  • Able to be relational and bring businesslike accountability to the position.
  • Organized.
  • Proactive self-starter.
  • Realistic, but positive.
  • A supporter of Young Life.
  • Equipped with a good understanding of finances and a high comfort level discussing them.
  • Generous with an active giving lifestyle.
  • Firmly believes in a Biblical theology of stewardship, generosity and support.
  • Views this position as an opportunity to strengthen this ministry rather than as a means of income.

The anticipated salary range for this position is anywhere from $40,0101 - $50,074 per year.
