The Eastern Great Lakes Region is seeking candidates for Metro Detroit areas. We are looking for healthy leaders who are able to invest in the community, volunteers, committee members and staff. We consistently have a need to fill staff associate and area director openings.

Responsibilities:

Spiritual Development – Creating a spiritually healthy environment in which all those connected to Young Life grow in their faith. ​

Leadership Development – Recruiting, developing, training and supporting a team of volunteers to serve as leaders and committee members.

Resource Development/Fundraising​ – While a wonderful support base already exists in the community, this person will lend significant leadership to new and existing fundraising efforts.

Direct Ministry – “Proclaiming and modeling” includes contact work, club, Campaigners and camp. Actively engage in all three levels of contact work.

Infrastructure Support​ – Work with the local committee to build community connections and support the overall organization of the area.

Training – This person will report to the regional director and will be expected to participate in regional and national training events.

Qualifications:

• Have a deep, abiding faith in Jesus Christ and love for people.
• Passion and calling for communicating the love of Christ.
• Have a clear understanding of discipleship.
• Self-starter, strong initiative, vision and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong leadership and relational skills.
• Willing to reside in the community where ministry is being done.
