Mission Staff (Part-Time) —
East Clark County, WA

Description:

This is a large area with a long history of Young Life. We have suburban, small town and multiethnic ministries in the area. East Clark County Young Life encapsulates Evergreen School District (in East Vancouver), Camas and Washougal. Nestled in the Gateway to the Gorge on the Columbia River, East Clark County is one of the most desirable places to live in the Pacific Northwest. Just a 20-minute drive to the PDX Airport in Portland, there are endless things to see and experiences to be had in any direction you drive.

We have one full-time staff and are looking to expand our team to more effectively share the Gospel. We currently have three high school ministries and three WyldLife clubs with a desire to grow into six high school ministries and six WyldLife ministries. Our area encompasses students and families from a variety of socio-economic realities.

We are looking for someone to begin ministry in the Evergreen School District and provide support for the ministries in Camas and Washougal. We are open to hiring three separate part-time staff, one in each of the three school districts (Evergreen, Camas and Washougal). Roles could vary from teacher staff, church partnerships, student staff or more and would be approximately five to 15 hours per week depending on the role.

Evergreen School District is highly diverse, and we desire a staff person who can navigate the many cross-cultural realities of students' lives in these communities. A candidate who is bilingual (Spanish speaking) and/or has experience and familiarity with Eastern European cultural dynamics would be an advantage.
