Senior Workday Administrator

Mission & Authority

Provide leadership and direction to incorporate new finance, human resources, and learning business processes into enterprise systems. Serve various levels of staff through project leadership, application training, documentation development, systems analysis, and customer service, to effectively implement a new enterprise resource planning system.

​Essential Duties:

Enterprise Resource Planning

  • Configure, maintain and advise on security within Workday application. This includes domain security policies, roles, and role assignments.
  • Stay current with any supported system information, changes and updates.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities.
  • Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday.
  • Configure, test, validate and implement business process changes, system configurations, integrations, security, and release events.
  • Maintain master data values in Workday.
  • Provide oversight and leadership in the form of input and knowledge sharing with matrixed Workday Administrators and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to team members as needed.

Customer Service

  • Conduct user training as required.
  • On call 24/7; must be available via cellular telephone or according to established telephone numbers.
  • Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and determine solutions and/or workarounds for technical issues.
  • Work closely with business team members in supporting all Workday technical functions to facilitate effective business solutions and provide knowledge transfer of system functionality to Business Process Managers, Super Users, Subject Matter Experts, and end users.
  • Act as primary point of contact to monitor and triage Workday platform and module issues.
  • Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and determine solutions and/or workarounds for technical issues.
  • Research inquiries using available information resources and redirect problems to the appropriate resource.

Administration

  • Proactively communicate project status and/or issues to management through both formal and informal communications.
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications in support of development activities including workflow, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
  • Participate in the development of IT standards and procedures.
  • Lead effort in tracking issues and resolutions; identify situations requiring urgent attention

Job-Specific Working Condition​s

  • Office environment at the Service Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Hybrid environment.
  • No day-to-day supervision necessary, highly self-managed environment.
  • This position offers a competitive salary range of $68,573-$97,544 annually commensurate with relevant experience, qualifications, and educaiton.

Qualifications:

Education

  • BS in business or technology related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Required for the Job

  • 3 - 5 years of experience working with Workday in HCM and/or Finance capacity or demonstrated success in supporting other complex enterprise systems.
  • Functional experience within a business setting in either an HCM or Finance capacity preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently, initiate, and complete tasks with minimal supervision required.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to appropriately and professionally handle multiple, competing priorities required.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate discretion in dealing with confidential medical, fiscal, and personnel information, as is appropriate to position.
  • Experience leading multiple medium to large sized technology projects.
