Campaign Director – Developing Global Leaders (DGL)

Mission & Authority

This position will ensure the Developing Global Leaders (DGL) program is successfully funded through vision donor partnerships.

​Essential Duties:

Development

  • Maximize revenue to the DGL Department, and work with the DGL team when appropriate for overall context.
  • Identify and engage donor partners, with internal and external entities, to develop a financial resource network to sustain program budget and ministry funding.
  • Identify national foundation funding sources and write annual grant proposals.
  • Develop church partnerships to participate in DGL program student sponsorship.
  • Create a development strategy for ongoing sponsorship of program participants.
  • Identify and engage fundraising tools to address personal support funding needs.
  • Serve on the International Campaign Director Team.

Administration

  • Track and record all donor and potential donor interactions through YL Connect.
  • Plan and Execute local fundraising events.
  • Develop engagement strategy for local communities to participate in international ministry.
  • Oversee student supported giving models to engage college students in international ministry.

Job-Specific Working Condition​s

  • Office environment at the Service Center in Colorado Springs, Co, hybrid or remote.
  • 25-30% Travel
  • Will involve global travel, and may include the extremes, challenges and/or dangers of traveling and doing ministry in developing countries.
  • This position has an anticipated salary range of $71,397-$97,570 annually depending on the relevant experience and education. ?
  • This position requires $100k of consistent, annual support to fund the ongoing position. Much like a missionary, you’d be asking friends, family and your network to be a part of your team, to journey with you and to financially support you through Young Life.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. ​

Experience Required for the Job

  • 5-7 years of work experience focused on resource development and fundraising.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain funding sources at an executive level.
  • Young Life Field Staff experience as Area Director or equivalent preferred.
  • A strong background in fundraising, especially innovative fundraising required.
  • Knowledge of the capacities and use of YL Connect (Salesforce).
  • A growing knowledge of International ministry.
  • Able to give spiritual leadership and minister to both donors and staff.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team atmosphere.
  • Training in RCE (Relationship Centered Engagement) preferred.
