The incredibly diverse capital city of France, Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world. Young Life France is looking for a candidate who is a visionary, a self-starter, and ready to develop ministry in the 12th arrondissement (district) of Paris. We have some great connections in this district of around 140,000 people. Now we need the right candidate to help grow and develop ministry around that!

This individual will work with the regional team to build on current contacts, establish ministry, and create vision for growth. This position requires an open mind as well as strong relational and analytical skills. Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal and professional level.
  • Participate in dynamic direct ministry with French and international adolescents.
  • Participate in staff and training events.
  • Enroll in French language studies in order to communicate and succeed in the community.
  • Recruit and train adult action team(s) to support staff and volunteer leaders.
  • Recruit and train new leaders to build a relational team that reflects the community.
  • Develop a plan to equip, disciple and retain volunteer leaders.
  • Raise 100% of financial support and maintain good donor care practices with both local and U.S. donors.
  • Communicate ministry updates and progress to donors.
  • Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders and donors for area records.
  • Maintain professional relationships with school administration as well as teachers.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Supervise other staff such as staff associates, field staff and DGL's (Developing Global Leaders)

Qualifications:

  • Curiosity, adaptability and open-mindedness regarding French culture, as well as an eagerness to learn
  • College degree required
  • Experience working with minors is required
  • Four years of ministry experience required
  • Proven relational skills with both adolescents and adults
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Three-year commitment required
  • Fluency in French preferred. Willingness to study and learn French required

Benefits:

Housing supplements and cost of living adjustments help make living overseas affordable for international staff. In addition, staff may raise funds and be reimbursed for the purchase of a vehicle, an annual personal trip to see family, pre-K through 12th grade private school education for dependent children, language school, moving expenses, and a one-time bonus of up to two-months’ salary.
