Do you want to be part of reaching a world of international expat teenagers from more than 17 countries? This is the opportunity for you in Sofia, Bulgaria!
Young Life is looking for a qualified area director to minister and serve international school students in Sofia, a city of approximately 1.2 million people, in the shadow of Vitosha Mountain. It hosts many foreign diplomats, business people, teachers and missionaries who send their kids to English-speaking international schools (or do homeschooling). Bulgaria has become a haven for digital nomads and professionals who want to live in an affordable, culturally rich and beautiful country with mountains, forest and the sea.
Young Life Sofia creates a supportive community for international middle and high school students who are away from home because of their parents' job assignments. Young Life provides club meetings, Campaigners, special events, camps and service projects where international teens can get away from their daily pressures and concerns to have fun, explore new places, experience adventure, meet new friends, and reflect on their lives.
Housing supplements and cost of living adjustments help make living overseas affordable for international staff. In addition, staff may be reimbursed for the purchase or lease of a vehicle, an annual personal trip to see family, pre-K-12th grade private school education for dependent children, language school, moving expenses, and a one-time bonus of up to two-months' salary.
