Description
Young Life in Luxembourg is seeking a full-time staff associate to lead ministry in Esch-sur-Alzette and assist in the Luxembourg City area. Esch-sur-Alzette, the second largest city in Luxembourg, is near the French border and is located in a unique area of the country. Esch-sur-Alzette has the largest concentration of youth in the whole country. You will work alongside American staff with experience living in Luxembourg to build and grow ministry efforts.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal and professional level.
- Participate in dynamic direct ministry with teenagers of multiple nationalities (in English or French).
- Participate in staff and training events as required.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a relational team that reflects the community.
- Develop a plan to equip, disciple and retain English-speaking volunteer leaders.
- Establish and collaborate with a Committee of local adults (in English or French).
- Raise 100% of financial support and maintain good donor care practices with both local and U.S. donors.
- Communicate ministry updates and progress to donors.
- Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders and donors for area records.
- Create professional relationships with school administration as well as teachers.
- Maintain confidentiality in an extremely secular country.
Qualifications:
- Curiosity, adaptability and open-mindedness regarding French and Luxembourgish culture, as well as an eagerness to learn
- College degree required
- French language school and/or a college degree (or minor) in French is highly preferred.
- Portuguese, and German language proficiency is a bonus.
- Experience as a Young Life volunteer leader is required. Experience as a Young Life team leader is preferred.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a multicultural, multilingual environment
- Entrepreneurial skills and/or mindset
- Proven relational skills with both teenagers and adults
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Three-year commitment required
