Description:

Naperville Young Life is looking for a staff person to develop and lead area-wide ministry and direct ministry. This will include the leadership of a team of volunteer leaders and teams of adults on various sub-committees. Young Life has been present in Naperville for more than 50 years and is in a rebuilding season of kid and adult engagement. We want someone who would be able to drive growth and rally people around the mission. This position will be working with another full-time staff person. Direct ministry could be with either high school students (Young Life) or middle school students (WyldLife).

Naperville is a western suburb of Chicago and a 45-minute train ride from downtown.

Responsibilities:

• Provide spiritual leadership and ministry direction to volunteer leaders.
• Recruit and train volunteer leaders.
• Build community and parent support teams. Work closely with teams to move ministry forward.
• Model excellent relational work with kids.
• Do effective club, Campaigners and camp ministry.
• Help plan and execute area fundraisers.
• Complete the necessary administrative tasks that go into running club, Campaigners, leader meetings, trips, etc.
• Serve in school-year weekend and summer camp (one week to four weeks) ministry settings.
• Fulfill Young Life Training courses each year.

Qualifications:

• Young Life or similar youth ministry experience preferred.
• Finished and graduated from a Young Life Leader Training program (not required but preferred).
• Must raise $20,000 of personal support.
• Humble and teachable attitude.
• Strong leader.
