Description:

Young Life Greater Bloomington is looking for an experienced staff person to lead our Young Life College ministry and team at Indiana University. Young Life College is a large component of Young Life’s work in the Greater Bloomington area that has maintained the same area director for more than 20 years and has 30 leaders leading at four local high school ministries and Young Life College.

Responsibilities:

• Lead our Young Life College outreach through relationships and regular gatherings on campus at Indiana University.
• Lead our college-aged leadership training program.
• Organize and execute small group Bible studies of college-aged students.
• Create a strategy to use Young Life weekend retreats, Spring Break trips, and service experiences to build community and significance as students encounter Jesus.
• Partner with an experienced area director to supervise, disciple and care for current Young Life leaders.
• Work with our staff team on area-wide outreach and fundraising events.
• Significant personal fundraising.

Qualifications:

• A dynamic personal faith in Jesus Christ.
• Passion for trusting God’s Word and for being a part of God’s redemptive work in the world.
• College degree required, preferably as a student on a residential campus.
• Three years in Young Life ministry or pastoral ministry
• If the experience is in Young Life ministry:

1. Currently an area director or ready to move into area director role.
2. Finished majority of Phase I training.

• Multicultural ministry experience or a strong willingness to grow into a multicultural leader.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experienced in personal fundraising.
