Area Administrator (Part-Time) — Nampa, ID

Description:

Looking to add a valuable team member to our staff in Nampa, Idaho. Duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. This individual will work closely with the area director through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material. This person will join a vibrant community with a rich history of Young Life!

Responsibilities:

Written and Verbal Communication

  • General office support (correspondence, filing, and mailings).
  • Answer phones.
  • Respond to emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Write and send thank you letters to donors.
  • Interact with the area director, area committee, volunteer team leaders, and leaders within the area.

Administration

  • General financial assistance (process and track donations).
  • Update and maintain donor and leader databases (make sure leader forms, driver questionnaires, and background checks are up to date).
  • Maintain Contact databases including the following:

    - Update the area donor database regularly.
    - Enter club card data into the database.
    - Update the contact database.
  • Writing and proofing newsletters.
  • Create and maintain banquet information.
  • Update email distribution lists: club kids, Campaigners, committee, leaders, and prayer partners.
  • Create and register camp trips using the Young Life platforms.
  • Event coordination.

Human Resources for Regional Administrators

  • Track and report vacation, sick, and personal days for eligible area staff.
  • Submit timesheets.

Qualifications:

  • Vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Evident passion for seeing kids’ lives impacted through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Initiator/self-starter.
  • Previous administrative assistant experience preferred.
  • Typing and computer skills.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must have good grammar skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic accounting skills.
  • Must be detail oriented while accomplishing multiple tasks.
  • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.

  • 10-15 hours a week with the opportunity for more.
