Description:

We are looking for a full-time, staff member to oversee ministry in Kalispell, Mont., a city known for its beautiful flat lands and vibrant community. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading and training volunteers to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. There is currently ministry at one high school, but there is room for growth to another school and the ability to start WyldLife.

Responsibilities:

• Create a growing and attractive culture, built around Young Life’s core values of faith, community and ministry.
• Recruit, train and support volunteer leaders.
• Lead, develop and empower staff who span multiple schools and ministries, with future potential for new Young Life and WyldLife ministries.
• Lead the area's vision and strategy for direct ministry to students including contact work, club, Campaigners and camp.
• Develop a plan to reach all area schools in a smart and strategic plan.
• Alongside the committee be responsible for donor care, current revenue and expenses, as well as planning for future financial goals needed to support the growth of the area.
• Raise personal financial support of $20,000 - $25,000 a year.
• Partner with the committee chair in leading and developing the area committee.
• Participate in staff training and summer camp assignments.

• A growing and vibrant spiritual life and passion for Jesus Christ.
• A strong desire to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.
• Ability to lead spiritually and cast vision.
• Proven ability to recruit and train volunteers as well as motivate others and build teams.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a willingness to be trained and led.
• Professional and responsible with strong follow-through.
• Proven ability to work with adults and develop community support.
• Proven time management skills.
• Ability to read a room and communicate effectively.
