Ministry Snapshot

Teton Valley is located on the west slope of the Teton Mountain Range in the western United States. Sometimes known as "The quiet side of the Tetons," it is composed of the cities of Victor, Idaho, Driggs, Idaho, Tetonia, Idaho, and Alta, Wyoming. The valley's economy is based in agriculture and ranching, with a shifting emphasis toward recreational tourism. Teton Valley has a unique climate and geology, as well as a wide variety of attractions including national parks and opportunities for wildlife viewing, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, skiing and participating in the arts.

Ministry Opportunities

  • Four elementary schools, one middle school, one high schools, one private school.
  • Committee: 10 board members.
  • Leaders: seven leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Love Jesus, kids and Idaho.
  • Able to recruit, build and mobilize adult committee and volunteers.
  • Lead by example of area fundraising and personal fundraising (Relationship-Centered Engagement).
  • Fantastic deliverer of Young Life’s vision.
  • Desire and heart to not just go deep in Young Life community, but also the local Christian community.
  • Hunger, humility and hustle.
  • Develop, lead and execute the area’s fundraising strategy and ensure excellence in communication to donors.
  • Lead people in our community by maintaining your own healthy relationship with Jesus.
  • Hire, lead and train field staff when it comes time.
  • Help lead a leadership pipeline for multiple Young Life ministries.
  • Model excellence in all areas of the job description and execution of Young Life’s 5 C’s (club, Campaigners, camp, contact work, committee), especially contact work, as well as create a vision/standard for the rest of the area.

Qualifications:

  • Deep love for Christ, as well as kids and young adults.
  • Love for the mission of Young Life and the incarnational relationship-based approach.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Excellent at casting vision and inviting others into the mission of what God is doing in Idaho.
  • Former Young Life experience.
  • Proven relational and leadership skills with youth and adults.
  • Proficiency in recruiting, training and leading adults.
  • Fundraising ability.
  • Theological strength to lead through complicated issues.
  • Bachelor's degree.
