Staff Associate I —

Erie, CO

Description:

Erie and Lafayette Young Life is located about 30 minutes north of Denver and sits 30 minutes east of Boulder and the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with easy access to many of the outdoor adventures and activities Colorado has to offer.

Our area started in 2016 and has grown a strong foundation of community support and ministry. Currently we have active ministry at the following high schools and middle schools in the area led by two full-time staff, one part-time staff, an area administrator, and student staff.

  • High Schools: Centaurus High School, Erie High School
  • Middle Schools: Angevine Middle School, Erie Middle School

We plan to start Capernaum club in the fall of 2024.

We are looking to hire a passionate and teachable staff associate to oversee high school and middle school ministry in the Erie side of the area. This role is crucial to our area strategy and will impact our community in many ways. We are seeking a staff associate with a vision for the future and a desire to directly impact students today. This role would focus energy on the existing Young Life and WyldLife clubs in Erie and grow toward reaching the other middle schools in Erie and the new high school when it is built. Altogether, there is potential to have five clubs on the Erie side of the area, all of which would be overseen by this position in the future.

We are eager to welcome a staff associate to lead and serve alongside our existing staff team. This person will develop volunteers, engage adults, and invest in the lives of students while doing the necessary work to serve and equip them well. The staff associate should expect to be trained well — locally, regionally, and through national training opportunities. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take ministry to the next level in a place where an excellent foundation has been set and ministry is set up to flourish.
