Tri-Cities

Young Life has a rich history of introducing ​ adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith ​ for more than 50 years. The area comprises cities West Richland, Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco. ​ We are currently engaging kids in ministry within five high schools as well as area-wide WyldLife and YoungLives ministries. The local committee is strong, with eight members who represent every community in the area and are committed to reaching every kid. We also have a strong base of stakeholders in the area — donors who generously support our important work with kids and desire to see healthy ministry in every school in the Tri-Cities.

Ethnically and socioeconomically diverse, this area provides a unique opportunity to reach the nations with the Gospel in our own backyard! Currently there is an area director, WyldLife teacher staff, ​ a part-time YoungLives​ coordinator, and a full-time administrator, and we are looking to grow our team!

Responsibilities:

We are seeking someone who is called and committed to reaching teenagers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and leading a team of volunteers in Kennewick, Wash.

• Building direct ministry within our WyldLife team and overseeing Kamaikin Young Life.
• Being at schools on a weekly basis.
• Meeting and building relationships with students.
• Growing a parent support group.
• Training and leading a team of volunteers to do incarnational ministry at the school.
• Overseeing a Campaigners community.
• Camp trips.
• This staff person should also be excited to recruit volunteer leaders to partner with them in ministry.

Qualifications:

• Active, passionate relationship with Jesus and His church.
• Community builder.
• A willing desire to engage with others in development and community growth.
• Visionary: Future-oriented with the ability to mitigate the gaps to accomplish the mission.
• Drive: Is a doer and self-starter.
