South Montgomery County Young Life is prayerfully seeking a staff associate to lead and develop ministry at College Park High School in The Woodlands — a suburb north of Houston with a population of more than 114,000 people.

Currently, we have one Young Life club that serves The Woodlands High School. There is also a WyldLife club for the feeder junior high. The Young Life area is in an excellent financial position — supported by a strong committee and volunteer leader team — and has potential for continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Personal spiritual health and a vital relationship with Christ.
• Develop community and spiritual care for a team.
• Build healthy working relationships with school administration, campus ministers and the community.
• Initiate and develop new ministry through contact work, club, Campaigners and camp.
• Work with the area committee in area fundraising and grow a personal donor base each year.
• Attend regional and area training and events.

Qualifications:

• A deep and growing faith in God.
• A passion for reaching lost adolescents and calling others to that mission.
• A philosophy and history of discipling others.
• A vision and plan to grow current ministries in reaching kids, leaders, committee and parents.
• A servant leader who is teachable, innovative, collaborative and flexible.
• Ability to build, train, recruit and grow teams of people (student leaders, adult leaders and committee members).
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills as it pertains to donors and parents of kids.
