Staff Associate I — Hendersonville, NC

Description:

Henderson County is a beautiful area located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, 15 miles south of Asheville, and right next to the DuPont and Pisgah National Forests. Home to the North Carolina Apple Festival, Henderson County is known for beautiful weather and many outdoor activities such as hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking, and rafting. Henderson County isn’t really a “hidden gem” any more -- this has become a desirable location for people of all ages and demographics. The specific school we are hiring for -- West Henderson High -- has become a sports powerhouse in our county, specifically with baseball, track, and cross country. It seems to be the preferred school of choice in our county among teenagers and has strong after-school programs. We believe Young Life will flourish at this school, we just need someone to lead the charge.

Henderson County Young Life is seeking to hire a full-time staff associate to come alongside leaders and staff to develop ministry at West Henderson High School. West Henderson previously had Young Life, and we are looking to restart and re-engage the school and town of Mills River.
