About San Diego and SDSU

San Diego State University is a campus of 30,000+ students just east of downtown San Diego. San Diego is a city that is diverse in population, culture, and activity. It truly is America's Finest City — beaches, a range of outdoor activities, a great downtown Gaslamp, great restaurants, many diverse communities, wonderful churches, an energetic young adult culture, and a multitude of opportunities. Housing on or near campus can be expensive, but in the surrounding communities it becomes more manageable. Young adults and students often live with roommates to lower monthly expenses.

YLC at SDSU is a thriving and healthy ministry with the hope of building relationships with every student we meet and partnering with campus ministries so that 30,000 students have the opportunity to meet Jesus and participate in His Kingdom here on earth.

"Young Life College is a fast-growing arm of Young Life worldwide. YLC San Diego State is a 16-year-old ministry that is thriving and healthy and is in a unique position to begin training up the next generation of Young Life College staff to be equipped and prepared for full-time ministry on university campuses. We have a strong committee that will help nurture and care for someone coming on full-time staff. Young Life at SDSU is positioned to care for and train new staff to take YLC into the next decade. The Southcoast Region is strong and ready to develop whoever fills this position." - John Byard, Young Life College Western Division
