Mission Staff (Part-Time) — Benicia, CA

Description:

Benicia is a charming, tight-knit community with a lot of Young Life history. After the Young Life ministry lay dormant for about a decade, it was re-launched by a number of committed adults nearly three years ago. Prior to COVID, there were Young Life clubs happening at both Benicia High School and Benicia Middle School with exceptional teams of volunteer leaders including teachers, youth pastors and other full-time workers. Unfortunately, COVID has stalled the ministry. However, there is still a very committed board chair and several key adults who are ready to lift this ministry off the ground once again as we come out of COVID and schools begin to open back up.

Benicia has always been a volunteer-led Young Life area. The area is poised to make their first official hire. What Benicia Young Life is looking for is a part-time staff person to work closely with the board chair in taking the area to the next level of ministry that is sustainable for years to come. The area has raised enough funds to hire a 10-20 hour/week staff person. This position could develop into a full-time position down the line.
