Through spiritual leadership and proper management, lead in developing a team in the area to carry out Young Life’s mission of introducing kids to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.

Description:

Pleasant Hill/Martinez is a family-oriented community with great schools, sports programs and working and supportive families. We have a thriving WyldLife club with plans to expand to the high school in a couple of years. We are looking to hire a ministry leader who can help us with community development and networking, supporting and growing our club, volunteering on campus, and most importantly, building relationships with kids! We have key adults and parents who are ready to support a staff person by introducing them to their networks and lifting them up to kids.

Pleasant Hill/Martinez is looking to hire part-time or full-time staff to help reach teens and build the area to the next level of ministry.

Ministry Functions:

Spiritual FormationModel growth toward a personal pursuit of Jesus; pursue a spiritually healthy lifestyle; lead and encourage others to grow in their faith.

Leadership Development — Work faithfully on a team with volunteers, help recruit, train and support the building of team(s), serve alongside other leaders, Staff and and Board Members.

Resource Development​ — Partner with staff and the Advisory Board to further develop the area budget.

Direct Ministry Commitment to contact work (weekly time with kids), club (4x a month gatherings), camp (2-3 a year) and Campaigners (small group Bible Study with kids) on a chosen campus(es).

Ministry Support Practice clear and concise communication and ​ administration support.

Training As required and depending on experience.

Qualifications:

  • A deep and growing faith in Jesus.
  • A call to reach students with the Gospel.
  • Experience working with teenagers (middle and/or high school age).
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
