Young Life in Redwood City has grown steadily for the last five years. We have two thriving clubs — one WyldLife and one Young Life. Our group of staff and leaders are fun people who love doing ministry together. We are looking for a new staff person to join the party! This new staff person will hit the ground running, doing meaningful work that she or he will love!

What’s the Job and What We’re Looking For ...

We seek an entrepreneurial, innovative, and self-starting leader with a passion for Christ and youth, who will take advantage of existing ministry opportunities. This position will lead and develop a current team of volunteers to continue growing a thriving club ministry. The majority of the work for this position will be direct ministry, working with students and leaders in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving in various capacities on Sequoia High School campus two to three times per week.
  • Get to know more than 100 students by name in the first six months.
  • Connect and meet with volunteer leaders at least once a week to develop and encourage the team.
  • Plan and run Sequoia High School clubs, Campaigners, and events.
  • Assist with area events and fundraisers when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Deep, abiding faith in Jesus Christ and love for people.
  • Passionate about high school kids.
  • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
  • Proven successful leadership and team-building skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills, especially as it pertains to parents and adults.
