Staff Associate I — Goleta, CA

Description:

We are currently seeking a full-time staff associate to lead the ministry at Dos Pueblos High School and oversee ministry at Goleta Valley Junior High in Goleta, Calif. This person would lead directly on a team at Dos Pueblos High School while engaging with and supporting volunteer leaders and adults for both Dos Pueblos High School and Goleta Valley Junior High. Both of these schools serve students who come from backgrounds of extreme wealth and extreme poverty. In addition, this person would work closely with the area director to recruit and train leaders from UCSB and Santa Barbara City College.

We are looking for a staff associate who feels called to serve this community, who is passionate about sharing Christ with kids, and who has a desire to build Young Life communities with college, high school, and junior high age students. An ideal candidate would have a growth mindset that helps us expand Young Life further to serve private schools in our area.

All three schools (DPHS, GVJH, and UCSB) are located in close proximity to beautiful historic downtown Santa Barbara and just a five-minute drive to multiple beaches. If you’re looking for a unique experience of ministering to teenagers and volunteer college leaders in Santa Barbara, we would love to talk more with you!
