​ Project Specialist – Asia Pacific Division (Part-Time)

Mission & Authority

Under the supervision of the Director of International Integration and Strategy, this position designs, administers and hosts events and projects for Asia Pacific Division. Additionally, this position will provide support for SVP/APAC donor engagement. The Project Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and smooth operation of projects within the region.

​Essential Duties:

Event Management

  • Organize and oversee major APAC leadership gatherings, including Asia Pacific Service Team and Summits.
  • Assist and facilitate hosting teams, encouraging their involvement and leadership.
  • Collaborate with Country Directors regarding travel, locations, meetings, and committee meetings.
  • Manage visits by Divisional SVP and oversee staff engagement meetings and trips.
  • Coordinate various special events fostering a cohesive environment ("Better Together").
  • Conduct presentations on topics enhancing hospitality skills for APAC staff.

Donor Engagement

  • Manage regular personalized communication with APAC SVP donors, ensuring timely updates, acknowledgments, and impact reports on their contributions.
  • Create and implement strategies to build relationships with donors in line with the APAC SVP's goals.
  • Offer personalized care and exceptional service to donors, addressing inquiries and building connections within the APAC SVP's donor network.

Job-Specific Working Condition​s

  • Extensive travel throughout Asia Pacific, often in challenging situations. ​
  • This position is part-time.
  • The range for this role is anywhere from $18.36-$22.98 per hour.

Qualifications:

Education

  • BA degree preferred. ​

Experience Required for the Job

  • 3-5 years of work experience required.
  • Young Life staff experience or volunteer experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working in Asia Pacific region.
  • Proficiency in navigating diverse cultures and languages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to keep focus and serve well amidst a variety of interruptions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize concurrent duties.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
